Mon Repos, Queensland

An adventure in every season

Turtle Sands isn’t your average pandanus palm-lined beach. After dark during nesting season (October to April), marine turtles emerge from the deep to nest on the shores of Mon Repos, their adorable hatchlings appearing some weeks later. While the turtles that share the beach are immeasurably captivating, there is lots more to see and explore. Venture out to discover the Southern Great Barrier Reef, jump on e-bikes to explore quaint beach villages, hunt down the best produce from farm stalls, or visit world-renowned distilleries. No matter what time of year you visit or how long you plan to stay, Turtle Sands promises an adventure in every season.
